Important Notice

to all fans other than Japanese and planning to come to
Foster Festival to be held in Camp Foster (Camp Zukeran)
in Okinawa, Japan on October 15

As you can see in the Facebook of MCCS, the event organizer, officially this event is open to all SOFA (Status of Forces Agreement) status and local nationals (Japanese people).

According to MCCS, they wrote that way in the facebook because, other than Japanese, people from very limited number of countries can attend the event. Therefore, if you are thinking of coming to the Foster Festival, it is strongly recommended to contact MCCS by phone [phone]) or by email ([e-mail]) or via their facebook to make sure you can attend the festival before booking any flight and hotels.
As far as we have been informed by today, people from Philippine are allowed to enter the camp but people from Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia and France are not allowed.

In addition, you should keep in mind that the Foster Festival is held at the base of US military. It means, if they raise the security level by any reason, there is a possibility that none of us can get into the camp. Only way to check the exact security level on October 15 is to contact the base just before that day.

So we shall maintain peace and security in the world at least until the middle of October (^^;) and make Teru-Teru Bozu, a paper doll to which Japanese children pray for fine weather! (No more typhoon!!)


★ How to get to Camp Foster, Okinawa?

Okinawa is the southmost prefecture of Japan. It takes about two and half hours from Tokyo Haneda Airport or takes about two hours from Kansai Airport/Osaka International Airport (Itami) to fly to Naha Airport in Okinawa. For more details, please visit here.

From Naha airport to Camp Foster (Camp Zukeran), it takes approx. 40 minutes by car .

Accommodations
The nearest and convenient hotels recommended by local people are The Beach Tower Okinawa and Laguna Garden Hotel but there are many other various types of hotels in Naha city, from where to Camp Foster is 30 minutes car ride and fixed route buses are also available.
